About

I build. From my first lines of Ruby to founding a healthtech company — the constant has been turning complex problems into software that feels simple.

Over the past twenty years I've worked across the full spectrum of software: engineer, architect, CTO, founder. I built the messenger frontend at XING as the company's first productive React application, designed systems as an IT architect at MaibornWolff, and scaled an engineering & product department from two to eighteen people as CTO of portagon.

In 2025 I co-founded Dentero — smart documentation and billing for dental practices. When I stumbled upon the accounting problem in dental practices, I didn't want to describe it. I wanted to solve it.

    Founding and building a healthtech company: AI-powered documentation and billing for dental practices. Live transcription, automated treatment documentation and accounting recommendations — technology that gives dentists their time back.

    Built the Engineering & Product department from scratch — hiring from two engineers to a headcount of eighteen across software engineering, engineering leadership, UX, product management, QA and IT.

    Backend systems in Ruby on Rails, social plugins in vanilla JavaScript with a strong focus on browser security. Built the messenger frontend in React — the first team to use React productively company-wide — and the websocket layer in Elixir and Phoenix.
